All COURSES ARE CURRENTLY SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO FAMILY ILLNESS.
HOPEFULLY THIS WON’T BE TOO LONG. PLEASE ASK BEFORE BOOKING VIA EMAIL OR MESSENGER.
Wild Women Camping is all about encouraging more women to get outdoors and improve their confidence in the outdoor environment. A night camping on the hill can seem pretty daunting if you don’t have the necessary outdoor skills and confidence. Therefore we offer training in navigation, camp craft, camping equipment and etiquette so you can get out there and experience the wild on your own, or with other like-minded friends.
Please contact me for any of the courses you are interested in or customising any of the courses to suit you and your friends use my email firstname.lastname@example.org or message me via facebook.
Please note I cannot provide transport to or from the venues.
I have always been into the outdoors after growing up in the Yorkshire Dales. As a child I enjoyed cycling and loved walking in the countryside with the occasional bird watching foray thrown in. As an adult I eventually fell into teaching and spent fifteen years as a Physics teacher. Whilst in school I got involved with helping out with Ten Tors and the Duke Of Edinburgh Award. Later, I joined the Royal Air Force Air Cadets as a Reserve and became a squadron commander and also the Wing Ten Tors trainer. I now work as a freelance instructor and expedition leader for a number of different companies. I have led expeditions to Iceland, Borneo, Cambodia and Malawi and have visited places such as Mt Toubkal in Morocco, Stok Kangri in the Himalayas as well as Everest Base Camp. This year I hope to summit Mera Peak. My enthusiasm for Adventurous Activities has not waned and I would like to encourage more women to get into the outdoors, hopefully this experience will help you make new friends, grow in confidence and foster a greater love for the outdoors.
